The Child Study Team is a multi-disciplinary group of specialists employed the Board of Education. The team consists of school psychologists, social workers, and learning disabilities teacher/consultants. Additional members of our team consist of behaviorists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. They work collaboratively to identify, evaluate, and prescribe services for students who are meeting with academic challenges.

Child Find

If you are a parent and are concerned with your child's developmental milestones between 0-3 years old please go to this link Child Find or make a referral to early intervention by calling 1-888-653-4463.

If you are a parent and find your child is struggling in school academically despite interventions the school has already put in place and would like your child evaluated for special education due to a suspected disability, please mail a written request to the director. Once the request has been received, a meeting will be scheduled. At this meeting the child study team, after reviewing all data, will make the determination if evaluations are needed and which ones will be necessary. The educational guidance, evaluations, and educational planning are at no cost to the parent.

If you are a parent with a child in crisis in your home, and it is not life threatening, please call Perform Care at 1-877-652-7624.

Perform Care may authorize mobile response stabilization services (MRSS) to come to your home and provide face-to-face crisis services within one hour of notification. The goal is to stabilize behavior and keep your youth at home. Mobile response is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can offer up to eight weeks of stabilization services.
